The reason I got to meet her was that Gil came up to a group of us Janet fans and he goes which one of you have Janet tattoos and three of us shot our hands in the air. Make a long story when he brought us up there she talking to everyone individually because it was so loud and dark. When she got to me she saw my sankofa tattoo on my back and held up a glass with a candle in it to see better. So I turned my head and said ,"please don't burn me." and she laughed and said, "I won't." When she was done I turned around and asked her for a hug and she she said sure. Then my friend behind me went to go talk to her. Meanwhile I asked Gil if she would take a picture with me. He said I'm don't know, just asked her. My friend was up there so long security started getting on us. So my friend stopped talking to her and I asked if she would take a picture with me and she said yes. So we took the pic and then I told her she was my hero and she said, "aww thanks." And then walked back out of her little section.
